About Lisa

Lisa is a certified holistic health counselor who believes everyone can live a life of greater energy, health and well-being. In an era of increasing rates of obesity, diabetes and other diseases, there are small changes each of us can make to either improve our health or prevent serious illness. Lisa's counseling skills, knowledge of nutrition and focus on spirituality help clients achieve their goal of living the life they want to live.
Early in her career, Lisa received her MBA from Columbia Business School and worked in corporate human resources. She also obtained an M.Ed. in Counseling while raising her two daughters and spent almost three years living in London. It was during that time abroad that Lisa began exploring alternative therapies and taking cooking classes with a Cordon-Bleu trained chef. When she returned to the US, she enrolled at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), and received her certification in 2002.
During the past year, Lisa has taken a "spiritual sabbatical" to more deeply explore this aspect of her own life. She has studied with a wide range of teachers, and has slowly developed a deeper connection with the Divine. She has written about her experiences on her blog: www.spiritualsabbatical.blogspot.com
In her private practice, Lisa works with a wide range of clients, from those who have arthritis and multiple sclerosis to others who wish to lose weight and improve their overall health. She speaks at schools, businesses and to community groups, and teaches healthy cooking to individuals and larger classes. Lisa practices in Harrison, NY.
