Most of us live busy stressful lives and eat what's familiar and easy to prepare. We want to be healthy, but it seems to take a lot of effort. Over the years, you may have put on some weight, you're not really exercising as much as you'd like, or perhaps you've developed a health problem. You may have a family and want some ideas about getting your kids to eat healthier foods. Where can you turn for help?
Lisa Feiner has been a holistic health counselor for eight years and has prior counseling experience. Many food issues are emotional, and many of our habits have developed over a lifetime. In working with Lisa for three or six months, you will begin to have a different relationship with food and your body, and understand what nourishes you in your life and what does not. Your new awareness is the first step in realizing your goals and opening up to the possibilities that lie ahead.
Cooking Classes
Individual/Couples
Lisa cooks with you either in your home or in her kitchen, where
there is ample space and cooking essentials to help everyone from
beginners to experienced cooks prepare delicious meals. We will
develop a menu of dishes tailored to your personal goals and food
preferences, and then you'll be provided with a shopping list. During
the class, Lisa will discuss the foods, their health benefits and
specific cooking techiniqes. Classes are typically 2 hours.
Group Classes
Lisa
designs creative, fun and delicious menus for groups of up to 6 in her
home, or for larger groups in your home kitchen. Participants roll up
their sleeves and get busy preparing three to four dishes, and then sit
down to enjoy the fruits of their labor! Classes usually are 2-
2 1/2 hours.

Take Stock/Restock Your Pantry--2 hoursReiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that
also promotes healing. It is administered through light touch and is
based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us
and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low,
then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high,
we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit
creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings
of peace, security and well-being. A session usually lasts 1 hour.
